A few words about my numismatic background and my business approach.........
Numismatics has been a passion of mine since I was a youngster growing up in Somerville, NJ in the early 1960's. My love affair with coins began by chance, when, while skipping rocks in a brook I uncovered a 1822 Large Cent copper. I was immediately fascinated by the size and design of a one cent copper coin over 100 years old, and my coin collection was born.
I avidly collected through grade and high school, but sold my collection to help pay for my college expenses. This was a very painful thing for me to do, but since both my mom and dad worked very hard to get me into the best school I could attend, it was the RIGHT thing to do. Even with a large dose of seller's remorse, I was quite please that I actually made money on the sale of my collection, it told me that I had picked my coins carefully, with an eye towards quality.
Fast forward ten years, my college and post graduate MBA studies are completed,. I am married and my corporate business career is moving along. At this point I get the collecting “bug” once again and start to become an active collector with a focus on 19th century U.S. Coins, particularly Indian Cents, and more recently Bust, Seated Liberty and type material.
With retirement from the corporate world in 2014, I began to develop a lifetime's dream, to create my own coin business and serve collectors with a level of personalized service that is second to none by combining my corporate discipline with my passion for coin collecting.
At its core, my business model is built upon my knowledge of the rare coin market and driven by core values of honesty and integrity. My driving focus is to make sure that all of my clients, whether they be advanced collectors or novices, whether they are buying or selling, ALL should experience exceptional customer service with RPH Coins and Collectibles.
