New 8/18 This 1809 Classic Half Cent was determined by the TPG to have been Cleaned as graded on the holder, This wipe is exceedingly light , and this is still a very attractive example of the issue. This is C6, R1 , which pairs Obverse 5 with Reverse E . The obverse die was stamped correctly with no rotation. The reverse at about a third counter clockwise turn as shown in my image. Some minor darker spots on the reverse are noted. Attractively priced. Details

Popular Voce Populi (voice of the people)  half pence colonial issue with original lighter brown surfaces that accentuate the design features. The fields are without issue, as agreed to by the bestowed CAC sticker. Obverse holder scratch from nose to rim noted. Struck in Dublin, Ireland.  The reverse rotated about 20 degrees left of center, HIBER NIA divided by the seated figure's head, the date harp and figure strong. URS-15 , population about 4,000 to 7,999. The CAC green sticker torn on the left side ( left edge to 1st C)

Post Colonial Massachusetts Coppers were issued in 1787 and 1788. The obverse depicts an Indian holding bow and arrow, the reverse with a spread eagle. For the 1788 one cents, there are two major varieties collected, "With Period" and "No Period" after MASSACHUSETTS. This example the slightly more rare "No period" variety which is noted on the holder. The NO PERIOD variety is listed on the NGC holder. Rims and major design elements are good for the grade, the two 8's in the date are weak. The eagle feather detail above the arrows is good. Original. 

This Early Large Cent is attributed as S-163 with Style 1 Hair , Style 2 letters and Small 8. The Style 1 hair is easily identified as it lacks an extra curl on the interior between the outer curl and Miss Liberty's drapery. The style 2 letters thicker than Style 1, the R is wider and a good comparison.  The Small 8 with a gap to the bust line. The 9 with partial knob closer to denticles than the drapery. On the reverse, the 1 in denominator distant, fraction bar thin to the right. Obverse and reverse die cracks. Original. 

Lightly cleaned as graded on the PCGS holder, this example still quite attractive with consistent chocolate brown surfaces. Variety S-242 listed on the holder. The obverse with E close over the dip in hair waves, the T mostly over the forehead. On the reverse, a thin "thorn" line from left stem into U. Estimated population of 750-1000, Highest grade for the variety is AU. Cleaned

The 1810/09 overdate was made when a 1809 die, different from the one used for the coinage in 1809 was over punched with 1 and 0 digits. The NGC holder lists the S-281 variety with "AU Details, Environmental Damage". To my eye, the Environmental Damage is quite light, not readily apparent unless carefully studied under magnification. The overdate is quite strong with traces of the O readily seen to both the left and right of the 1 digit. Attractively priced for the quality offered, as a comparison is straight grade AU the Greysheet currently shows $5200 and in XF40 $2400. A darker toning spot is noted under Miss Liberty's bust above the 1 and 0 digits, much less apparent in hand then with my image. Current comparative listings are asking for a much higher amount. Lovely, original chocolate brown surfaces and strong remaining design features probably made this example a CAC sticker "no brainer". The reverse wreath especially strong with loads of remaining leaf and ribbon detail. Please note that there is a strand of white liniment at about 5 o'clock on the obverse.

Choice.

Attractive Copper Nickel Indian Cent is perfect for a either type or date set. Diamonds are strong, feather tips a bit soft but better than the average fare. Luster and eye appeal strong. CAC has stickered 105, PCGS pop is 775. Nicer in hand than my pics Good value offered here. Gem.

This 1871 Indian Cent is towards the lower end of the grade scale, but it still possesses good value and eye appeal with all of the key design elements present. L in LIBERTY is clear as is 90% of the top line of the headband. Rims are strong on both obverse and reverse. Nice chocolate brown color. One of the lower mintage Indian Cent issues with 3,919,500 struck. The PCGS pop show 58. No noteworthy distractions noted. Original. 

The scarcer Closed 3 variety with the ball serifs much closer than the Open 3 variety. This example with chocolate brown surfaces. The headdress is strong with good feather detail, LIBERTY strong, diamonds weak. The reverse wreath is well executed. The PCGS pop shows 77, compare this to a XF45 population of 150 for the Open 3 version. Original. 

Lovely, smooth original chocolate brown surfaces grace this semi-key Indian Cent date. From a mintage of 14,187,500 Snow lists this date as scarce. Bottom curl without detail and 3rd diamond gone, although it should be noted this feature is typically weak. Reverse wreath is strong, just a hint of rub as the grade implies. Some reverse mint luster seen. CAC pop 3:1 this example the only graded coin at this level. Choice.

This 1902 Indian Cent is very well struck with fully struck diamonds and ribbon. The 1st feather not fully struck at the tip, typical for the date. Nearly full brown but with just a bit of remaining mint red peaking through. Lustrous surfaces with plus eye appeal. Hit at cheek accounts for the grade, reverse a grade higher. Choice. 

Fully struck gem Indian Cent with lots of remaining mint red luster that my pics don't fully capture. Diamonds and ribbon band are fully executed as is the 1st feather. A small cheek bone tick aways from a 65 grade. The reverse also with lots of red and luster, a bluish dark spot between the CE is noted. Way above the average fare seen for the assigned grade. Gem. 

New 9/4 Well struck with lots of red and luster. Diamonds are full as is the top feather's detail. , Bottom curl a bit flat. A couple of light blemishes on the focal cheek area are noted. The reverse is quite pretty with attractive rose - purple underlying  toning. Choice. 

The1908-S was the 1st cent struck at the San Francisco branch mint and has always been a popular issue. This example with pleasing light brown fields. The LIBERTY is weak but all letters are present. The top diamond on the ribbon shows. The date is clear and the rims are nicely formed. The S mintmark is bold, the shield's vertical lines are strong, the horizontal lines weaker, which is typical. The mintage of 1,115,000 is the 3rd lowest in the series with only the 1877 and 1909-S with fewer struck. PCGS shows a population of 369 at the presented level. Attractively priced. Original. 

Popular one year type Lincoln cent with a lovely red brown surfaces and piles of luster. Gem.

This early wheat date Denver issue Lincoln Cent shows attractive purple blue underlying toning that perfectly accents its original glossy brown surfaces. Lustrous with crisp strike. The current CAC pop shows 15 in MS64BN. Well above the average fare for the grade. Gem.

Scarce in all grades the 1922 No D Strong Reverse Lincoln was minted in Denver but without the intended mintmark. A major variety that is difficult to acquire at any grade and commands a hefty premium, Glossy brown surfaces. Original
