PCGS 46180295

$325

This 1919  Mercury dime issue, comes with original, golden toned lustrous surfaces and a fully executed strike. The high points of the wing tips show no sign of wear. The fasces vertical, horizontal and diagonal bands are all crisp and interruption free. Of further interest, the obverse rim appears to be slightly misaligned, or struck slightly off center, most prominently so between 1-2'oclock at (and above) the R. The reverse shows an approximate 10 degrees rotation with the fasces tilting left.  Pricing is quite attractive, with the price doubling at the 65FB level. Far from the standard fare and a "just buy it now recommendation". Gem.

The 1940 Proof Mercury dime shows a mintage of 11,827. This example sparkles with original golden brown surface highlights. Proof Mercury dimes were issued from 1936-1941 , this an interesting specialist area within the type. Strike is full, reverse bands complete and distinct. My images do not convey how nice this coin is when in hand. Attractively priced for the quality.  Gem. New 2/27

New NCNA show purchase. Original surfaces show just very little wear. Loads of luster and eye appeal. Not fully struck as can most easily seen with missing rivets on the shield. Tough date, especially in lower grades  as many coins in the original 6.2M mintage have seen the date worn away.  Great selection for a PQ AU set endeavor. Choice. New 10/7

Nicely struck, lustrous steel grey with light bluish gold tones on the obverse, this Denver issue Walker gets difficult at this higher grade level. A few brownish gold toning areas on the reverse add to this coin's originality. Price quadruples at the next full grade level, this grade level optimal if seeking a gem for a date collection. Attractively priced by the consignor, the PCGS guide is $500. Gem.

Attractive Denver issue Walker that exhibits greyish toning in the focal areas that is accented by rainbow rim toning. Originality that is rarely seen in the series. Strike above average, let's  call it 70% full on head.  Reverse of eagle's left leg feathers with slightly better than typical weakness. PCGS price guide is $125. Well priced for the astute collector.  Choice.

Loads of frosty, swirling  white luster on this wartime San Francisco issue. Better date if collecting the 1940-47 short set. Weakly stuck on Miss Liberty's hand and midriff area is noted, typical for the date. Older NGC holder. Choice.

This wartime San Francisco issue warranted a CAC green bean and its easy to see why. An above average strike combines with rims that are golden tinged. Original surfaces, strong strike, eye appeal, its all there. The mintage of 8,904,000 is one of the lowest for the wartime issue years. PCGS has certified over 5,ooo at this grade, NGC another 3,900. Out of this large  pop, CAC certifying but 130. Gem. New 4/1 green-sticker-1_orig
