The eagerly awaited summer Pittsburgh ANA is now in the past and boy was it one for the record books.
There is always much to accomplish at this show including attending collector club meetings, networking with both new and old friends, accepting in new consignments, submitting coins for grading / stickering, and of course buying and selling on the bourse.
The bourse floor had a steady buzz and all of the dealers I talked to seemed quite pleased with their sales, many reporting record revenue results. I didn’t have table space at the GFRC booth and spent the majority of my time on the floor selling the selection of mostly raw coins that I brought to the show. Results were excellent with over 60 coins sold and separate deals made with a dozen dealers – both new and repeat Lite customers. Here’s a pic of the bourse that captures roughly 20% of the floor and hopefully conveys the magnitude of the venue.

Buying was a bit more difficult but I did add a few select additions to inventory including much needed Barber dimes and a lovely, golden toned and choice 1936 Long Island NGC MS64 commemorative that I will post later this week.

Consignments taken in proved to be a savior, highlighted by a wonderful lot of over 50 graded coins with Bust and Seated Half dollars leading the charge. I will begin listing these in the coming days and start with this pic of a collector grade PCGS xf40 1831 that displays strictly original crust toning that I’ve attributed as O-113, R4.

I’ll finish by adding that the summer ANA show was a wonderful numismatic event that lived up to all expectations. There is now loads to do with inventory cleanup and continuous site work.
Cheers !
Rich
