1847 DDR

AU Details

NGC 6479612011

$250

This popular DDR variety, (Variety Plus) VP-002 , combines Obvers2  with Reverse A. Cross reference Briggs 1A. Reverse doubling is seen on QUAR DOL, , UNI. The Environmental damage cited by NGC is on the reverse, its' very light by ED standards. Patina is a darkish brown, with deep blue and purple highlights. Fairly priced at about half straight grade. As this is a collectible variety at a higher grade that was probably remediated, I'll just call it CLEANED.

$100

This 1847 Type 2 No Motto sure appears under graded to my eye. The BE in LIBERTY is full or nearly so, and strong remaining traces of the RTY also remain as can be seen in my pics. Additionally, strong vertical and horizontal lines are present on the right side of the shield.  The date is full, the rims with no distractions and nearly so. The reverse displays exceptional denticles detail for the grade combined with  a strong shield. Original gun metal grey surfaces round out the value proposition and description. Great selection for a collector on a budget in search of an Original piece.

PCGS 24265549

$160

The 1853 Arrows and Rays Quarter is a popular one year type coin, this example x Teich Family Collection as noted on the PCGS holder. My images fail to capture the piles of colorful toning underneath the original grey brown fields on both the obverse and reverse. Wonderful eye appeal here. Great choice for a VF-EF collector grade collection. Choice.

1855-S

F2

NGC 6479612010

$125

At this F2 level this 1855-S Seated Liberty Quarter sure saw plenty of action in commerce. The mintage of 396,400 is low but finding problem free coins is difficult for this date. My image shows the date, especially the 2nd 5 weaker than when viewed in hand. For the grade this coin shows no major distractions. The the rims are mostly blown away, with just loads of good old fashioned wear.  The NGC census for the grade is 2, at the VF level 13 graded by NGC with a 7X  price increase. Original.

1857-O

Raw

$170

This 1857 New Orleans issue is loaded with eye appeal with my image only partially picking up the colorful bluish gold rim toning that  displays on both the obverse and reverse.  Star denticles are strong with nice rims, the only blemish at 11 o'clock on the obverse. Lots of remaining head detail on Miss Liberty, ditto for the eagle's feathers. Strong example for the grade and a nice selection for any raw album , be it for type or date set. Original.

Raw

$160

This 1860-O Quarter with a mintage of with a mintage of 388,000 would be the last New Orleans issue until 1891. This issue with small date and large O, the O lightly stuck but not the Broken O. Greyish patina with tinges of bluish hues. Obverse rims are good, no stars with centrils. Minor reverse rim blemishes noted. Nice collector coin perfectly suited for a raw date collection.  Original.

PCGS 43207869

$215

The 1873 With Arrows Quarter is a popular choice for this 2 year type coin. At the VF35 grade, PCGS has certified 23 examples with a suggested price of $275. This example with good eye appeal, the rim toning and luster above average for the grade. My pics missing much of the obverse rim color. LIBERTY is strong, stars well formed. On the reverse, the eagle feathers very strong. Some chatter is noted, mostly in the obverse fields. The reverse of the holder has small chips on the lower right and left raised corners. Original. New 3/30
