CACG 242864670

$125

The 1893-O Barber dime with its mintage of 1,760,000 is tough to locate in all grades. This example shows the LI remaining on the headband with very strong remaining wreath leaf detail at this grade level. The reverse with strong wreath including some of the corn niblets which are usually not seen at this grade. Attractive, original surfaces with the darker rim toning really accentuating Miss Liberty's portrait. Reverse also with some colorful purplish tones adding to the eye appeal, Choice.  green-sticker-1_orig

New 8/14 Well above the average fare seen at the VG8 level, this semi-key date Barber Quarter with a mintage of 264,000 is the 4th lowest issue for the series. On the headband, LIBERTY with the (LI) and(Y) full, the (T) nearly so and about a 3rd of the (B) showing. The leaves are exceptionally strong for the assigned grade. On the reverse, the eagle's wing feather and shield detail will not disappoint. Rims are nick free, denticles good. The mintmark S is filled. Surfaces classic gunmetal grey. A recent Statesville show find and fairly priced for the offered quality. Choice .

Nice collector grade Barber Half of this semi-scarce date. Prices jump significantly at the next grade level. PCGS has certified 42 a the the VG10 grade. This example with consistent gunmetal grey toning. All letters in LIBERTY show at least a trace, the BER weak, as typical. Tougher Barber Half dollar date with improper cleaning but with no trace of hairlines, probably dipped long ago and now toning back quite nicely. Lower mintage of 1,272,000 , attractively priced, opportunity awaits.  Cleaned.

Low mintage of 124,230, this Barber Half dollar is nice for the presented grade with original gunmetal surfaces and lots of good, honest wear from circulation. The PCGS population shows a large certified number of 391, probably more a testament to the coin's popularity and not the rarity of the issue,  Original.

The last year of issue 1915 Philadelphia Barber is the second lowest mintage date for the series. Popular date as can be seen by the large amount of certified examples, presently 331 at the VG10 grade.  PCGS guide suggested $275. Market Acceptable.

New 7/30 This 1915 Barber half appears to be conservatively graded to my eye. Lets start with the LIBERTY with the LI and the Y full and the T nearly so. Traces of the B and R also show, clearly this detail is well above the VG8 level.  The leaves on the forehead also show considerable detail. Surfaces are an unquestionably original gunmetal grey, the motto full. Eagle feather detail is strong. An excellent choice for a VG/F set. Choice.
