Description
This Philadelphia date seated half dollar is the WB-101, WB-5 variety that pairs the 1st use of Obverse 4 with the 3rd use of Reverse B. Housed in an older generation NGC holder, this example is essentially a white coin with lustrous, frosty surfaces. Strike is strong, the only weakness seen as at the hairline above Miss Liberty’s forehead. The key obverse diagnostic of note is the two small lumps in Miss Liberty’s skirt behind the heel. The reverse with identifying die cracks , 1-from top arrow to A, 2- connecting tops of AMERICA, 3- connecting the tips of the bottom 2 arrows and 4- from DO(L) to rim. R3. Fairly priced, this example worthy of variety attribution for the specialist. Choice.
