Highly collected Civil War VG6 key date 1861-S Seated Quarter comes with a partial LIBERTY, the L is missing, the BERT strong, the I and the Y are partial. R-3 , scarce is in all grades. Briggs 1-A with diagnostic die scratch in shield that runs from vertical bar #10 to the top of shield is clear, even at this lower grade level.  Large S mintmark. Classic gun metal grey surfaces with very light hairlines noted. Nicer than I’ve seen for this grade. Attractively priced for the offered quality. Original.
