Description

This Early Large Cent is attributed as S-163 with Style 1 Hair , Style 2 letters and Small 8. The Style 1 hair is easily identified as it lacks an extra curl on the interior between the outer curl and Miss Liberty’s drapery. The style 2 letters thicker than Style 1, the R is wider and a good comparison.  The Small 8 with a gap to the bust line. The 9 with partial knob closer to denticles than the drapery. On the reverse, the 1 in denominator distant, fraction bar thin to the right. Obverse and reverse die cracks. Original.
