Description
New 9/12 This 1834 Bust Quarter with an unfortunate light wipe but still is oh so nice and is certain to draw attention from Bust Quarter collectors. From a mintage of 286,000. There are 5 Browning varieties for this date. The rims are accented by attractive blue grey toning with touches of accent gold. Stars are distinct though not all are full. This is B-1, R1 with the upright of the 4 pointing to the extreme left of the curl. Die cracks from bust to denticles below star 1 and from curl to star 13 and then the rim. Clash marks from the shield are clearly seen under the curl near the neck and ear. The reverse with no period after the C, this the only 1834 variety with this feature. The upper left wing is weak, typical for this variety. The shield’s vertical and horizontal lines are strong. Imaged as in the holder with a clockwise turn. Cleaned.
