Description
New 7/23 This attractive 1857 New Orleans half dime is housed in an early Gen 4.0 holder (1989-92). Toning is a deep golden brown with accenting blue tones. The surfaces display good underlying luster, especially so on the reverse. V-1 with a die crack connecting the left stars and the reverse O mintmark slightly low, but not as low as V-2. Die erosion is noted below the base and to the right of the 7. A good candidate for re-holdering & variety attribution. Much nicer in-hand than my images. Attractively priced. Choice.
