Description

The 1st year of issue 1864 2CP two cent piece was issued in two varieties, Large Motto and Small Motto. The Small Motto is the much scarcer issue, about 15X based on pricing in the offered grade. Submitted to NGC at FUN and recently returned from grading. An NGC pop of 30 is noted. Rims are crisp. Much nicer in hand with smooth surfaces and enough contrasting grey and shades of brown to properly accent the design elements. Original.
