Description
New 9/3 The 1868-S Seated half with a mintage of 1,160,000 is considered semi-scarce as it was difficult for east coast collectors to acquire coins from the San Francisco mint. The mintmark S is small and located below the tip of the arrow’s feather. This example is early die state with no die cracks. Original surfaces with lovely underlying golden-orange tinged toning and a good deal of remaining luster. WB-4, R5. Choice.
