The better date 1868-S Seated half dime shows a smaller mintage of 280,000. This example is housed in an older brown label holder and comes with silvery fields with golden accents. The underlying luster is strong. On the obverse, Miss Liberty’s facial, hair and midriff features are strong. The reverse agricultural wreath detail also quite strong, two die cracks from both the left and right bottom ribbons are noted. Choice.
