Description

The 1883 No Cents Liberty Nickel is very popular as a type coin. This example initially caught my eye with its lustrous original surfaces, but under further inspection strong die breaks on both the obverse and reverse made this an easy purchase decision. The most dramatic obverse die break runs from the rim through S1 downward to the date, and strongly through the base of the 18. Other strong die cracks are noted at 883, stars 11-13 and lighter through stars 4-9.
